Shaunak Parikh joined EW in 2013 and is a Partner.  Mr. Parikh has more than 10 years of experience in the healthcare and finance industry.  At EW, he is responsible for identifying and evaluating new investments across the healthcare sector including pharmaceutical, medical devices, diagnostic and technology-enabled service opportunities.  He also plays an active role in the management and value creation process of existing portfolio companies.

Mr. Parikh currently serves on the Board of Directors of TissueTech.  He has also been a key member in a number of the firm’s growth equity investments, including Cardiva Medical (acquired by Haemonetics), MiMedx Group, TELA Bio, Prolacta Bioscience, and Bioventus.

Prior to joining EW, Mr. Parikh was an Associate at Health Evolution Partners, a San Francisco-based private equity firm focused on healthcare services, life sciences and HCIT.  Previously, he worked in the investment banking group at Citigroup, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions primarily in the medical device and pharmaceutical sectors.

Mr. Parikh earned his Master of Business Administration degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with Honors from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
