Anne DeMaret joined EW in 2001 and leads the EW investor relations activities, bringing to the EW partnership over 30 years of experience from the international health services sector.
In 1986, as the Project Officer for a family health and family planning project in the Near East/North Africa (“NENA”) region, she managed the training of paramedical and auxiliary community health workers in Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan and Yemen. Following the NENA project, Mrs. DeMaret was a consultant for Helen Keller International (“HKI”) in rural Indonesia to evaluate a field program to reduce eye disease and expand educational services for the blind.
After HKI, she was appointed Executive Officer for the Health Sector Financing Project with the International Science and Technology Institute (“ISTI”). With ISTI, she was responsible for managing a $21 million collaborative health sector financing project between the United States Agency for International Development and the Ministry of Health in Indonesia.
Mrs. DeMaret received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Amherst College.
